Syöte’s mountain biking and hiking trails are renowned for their variety and stunning scenery, with direct access from the Hotel Iso-Syöte courtyard.

In winter, snowshoes and sleds are available for rent at the hotel reception, while in summer, mountain bikes can be rented from our Bike Rental Shop.

Guests are welcome to use the hotel’s Kota hut for frying sausages. Firewood is available for purchase, and the hut key can be picked up at reception with a deposit.

Outdoor maps are also available at our reception.

Syöte National Park is known for its breathtaking landscapes and offers a peaceful escape into pristine wilderness. Covering over 300 square kilometers, the park showcases a range of diverse terrain, from old-growth forests and open bogs to rugged fells and scenic ridges. This blend of landscapes provides excellent opportunities for outdoor activities in every season, including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and snowshoeing.

Easy to reach

Hotel Iso-Syöte is located in the southern border of Lapland, on the top of the southernmost fell in Finland. The hotel is within easy reach by car or via Oulu, Kuusamo or Rovaniemi airports.
