Self-guided excursion to Ranua Zoo + Rovaniemi Santa Claus village at 9.00
Hop on a bus from Hotel Iso-Syöte to explore Ranua Wildlife Park for a captivating 2-hour visit (around 10-12.00, entrance fee applies). Then, set off to Rovaniemi, crossing the Arctic Circle and entering the Santa Claus Village (around 13-15.00). Discover charming souvenir and Finnish design shops, and maybe even meet Santa himself! Be aware, the village is bustling with festive cheer during Christmas! Return transfer to Iso-Syöte leaves at 15.00 and is back at the hotel around 17.00.

Ice fishing at 10.00
Ice fishing trip to a stunning frozen lake! Picture a picturesque drive through enchanting snowy landscapes leading you to your icy destination. Take a moment to warm up with a steaming cup of coffee by a crackling fire, soaking in the serene beauty around you. And if you’re lucky enough to reel in a catch, relish the joy of preparing your prize in a cozy kota, a traditional Finnish hut. This unforgettable journey invites you to connect with nature, all while creating lasting memories!

Snowmobile safari to wilderness at 14.00
We’ll set off from the hotel on an exhilarating descent down a snow-covered track, then carve our way through the fells, weaving through forests heavy with glistening snow. Glide across frozen swamps and pristine ice-covered lakes, the winter landscape stretching endlessly around you. We’ll pause for a cozy break by a crackling campfire, where you can warm your hands and savor a steaming cup of coffee beneath a canopy of frosted trees. Re-energized, we’ll mount our snowmobiles once more and ascend the majestic Iso-Syöte hill, wrapping up our adventure with stunning panoramic views of the snowy wilderness.

- Departure for the safaris is from the Hotel Iso-Syöte lobby. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the program, or 30 minutes beforehand if you do not yet have your safari equipment.
- Safari equipment can be collected from the safari room on weekday mornings between 8:30–9:30. Snowmobile helmets are provided at the start of the safari.
