Day Trip to Ranua Wildlife Park and the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi – Meet Arctic Animals and Santa Claus
Embark on an unforgettable day trip that combines authentic nature experiences with the magic of Christmas! The journey begins at Hotel Iso-Syöte and takes you to Ranua Wildlife Park, where you can encounter around 50 northern animal species, including polar bears, lynxes, and wolverines. Open year-round, the park offers a unique opportunity to see arctic animals in a natural-like environment. (Please note: entrance fee to the wildlife park is not included in the tour price.)
The trip continues to Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle, where we visit Santa Claus Village. Here, you’ll have the chance to meet Santa himself, send a postcard from the official Arctic Circle Post Office, and shop for unique local gifts in charming boutiques. In the afternoon, we return to Iso-Syöte – a day filled with unforgettable memories, photo-worthy moments, and a touch of northern magic!
Approximate Schedule
- 09:00 – Departure from Hotel Iso-Syöte
- 10:00–12:00 – Visit to Ranua Wildlife Park (entrance fee not included)
- 12:00 – Departure from Ranua
- 13:00–15:00 – Visit to the Arctic Circle and Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi
- 15:00 – Departure from Rovaniemi
- 17:00 – Return to Hotel Iso-Syöte

- Please note: self-guided tour, entrance fee to Ranua Wildlife Park is not included
- Price: 95 € / person (minimum of 6 persons, adults or children, is required to be able to carry out this excursion). If the minimum number is not reached, the activity might be cancel and the money refunded.
- Departure for the safaris is from the Hotel Iso-Syöte lobby. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the program, or 30 minutes beforehand if you do not yet have your safari equipment.
- Safari equipment can be collected from the safari room on weekday mornings between 8:30–9:30. Snowmobile helmets are provided at the start of the safari.
