Cross-country skiing
A charming 3 km cross-country ski track starts from the hotel courtyard and goes around the summit of Iso-Syöte. The track is lit and crosses woods of trees covered with crown snow.
In the heart of the forest or at the foot of a hill, gliding along the open trail, one truly feels alive in the here and now. Gazing at the trees covered in heavy snow, one cannot help but think of the ancient times when people set off to ski.
Syöte is particularly known for its expansive sloping mires, where skiers can experience the best of the wilderness. The ski trails in these marshlands are opened when the frost arrives and are maintained until around Easter.
Now, the excellently maintained trails await skiers of both classic and freestyle techniques. Here, in Syöte’s winter wonderland, one can experience the pure joy of skiing at its finest.
The trails in the fell landscape challenge even the most experienced skiers, but there are also enjoyable routes for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, suitable for pleasure-seekers and families alike. Make one of the easy trails to a campfire site your destination.
The terrain in the Syöte area is wilderness-like and quite hilly. There are approximately 120 kilometers of ski trails. On nearly every trail, you can bring along your own dog, provided it is leashed and under the owner’s control.
