Husky Safari

Hotel Iso-Syöte offers a variety of husky safaris: an all-day husky safari, a short ride lasting a couple of hours and a safari combining the speed of snowmobiles and huskies.

Husky safari 12 km

The 12-kilometre husky safari begins with putting on a safari outfit at the hotel, followed by a bus ride to the husky farm. The safari consists of a 12-kilometre long husky-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy forests. Half-way through the trip, you can change drivers and take photos. Yes, you can be the driver on the husky ride!

You’ll finish the ride with coffee and buns on the husky farm, which is also a great opportunity to get to know the dogs and how they live on the farm.

  • Duration: approx. 3 hours (incl. return transfer)
  • Price: 175 € / person with 2 adults/dog team (+ max 1 child) or 220 € / person with 1 person/dog team 
  • Included: transfer, husky safari (approx. 12 km), safari outfit
  • Please note: does not require any previous experience
  • Available in the winter weekly program on Thursdays

A full day husky safari including campfire lunch

Transportation to the husky farm where the huskies are eagerly waiting for visitors to come. Introduction to team dogs and instructions upon arrival before husky sledge ride. The safari route goes through snowy forests and ice covered lakes and swamps. Lunch is served around a campfire, either on the trail or back at the huskyfarm. And other stops to switch drivers and to take pictures. The journey with the huskies is approx. 25/40km in total depending on track/weather conditions.

Snowmobile & husky safari 6 km 

Safari starts from Hotel Iso Syöte by snowmobile to the place where the huskies are eagerly waiting for visitors. After introduction to the huskies and instruction you take off with the huskies strongly pulling your sledge. The safari route goes through snowy forests and ice covered swamps in Syöte area. There are stops to switch drivers and to take pictures.

  • Duration: approx. 3 hours, approx. 6 km with huskies
  • Price: 175 € / person when 2 adults / dog team (+ max 1 child) or 220 € / person when 1 person/dog team
  • Included: Snowmobile safari, husky safari, safari outfit
  • Available in the winter weekly program on Tuesdays
