Snowmobile safari to wilderness at 14.00
We’ll set off from the hotel on an exhilarating descent down a snow-covered track, then carve our way through the fells, weaving through forests heavy with glistening snow. Glide across frozen swamps and pristine ice-covered lakes, the winter landscape stretching endlessly around you.
We’ll pause for a cozy break by a crackling campfire, where you can warm your hands and savor a steaming cup of coffee beneath a canopy of frosted trees. Re-energized, we’ll mount our snowmobiles once more and ascend the majestic Iso-Syöte hill, wrapping up our adventure with stunning panoramic views of the snowy wilderness.

Explore the magnificent frozen waterfall of Korouoma, a stunning natural wonder. The excursion begins with a transfer to Korouoma Canyon, about a 1.5-hour drive. From the parking area, the hike includes a sometimes steep descent of approximately 1.5 km into the canyon. Enjoy free hiking and strolling towards the impressive frozen wall. The guide will prepare lunch around a campfire. The return involves a challenging uphill hike, so good physical condition is required. After the hike, we will transfer back to Iso-Syöte.

Embark on an exhilarating snowmobile safari through the forests and hills of the Syöte region, journeying towards a traditional farm known for its mushrooms, garlic, and herbs. Experience the untouched beauty of nature as you steer your snowmobile through ancient forests and along the hillsides of Iso-Syöte en route to Naamanka. Immerse yourself in local culture upon arriving at the traditionally built farmhouse, where you’ll learn about the history of the building and the lifestyle of local farmers.
Your visit includes a presentation of Syöte Wildfood, showcasing the region’s natural bounty: mushrooms, herbs, berries, and garlic. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase handmade products crafted from these local ingredients in the farm’s workshop.
The experience continues with a homemade lunch served in the farmhouse’s Pirtti, where you can taste the local flavors for yourself.
The lunch includes a wild berry smoothie as a welcome drink, followed by a Lappish soup with reindeer meat (or a mushroom soup for vegans), accompanied by homemade bread with self-grown garlic butter. The meal is complemented by self-made berry juice and finishes with a sweet dessert made from local berries or spruce sprouts, served with coffee or chaga tea.
After lunch, the snowmobile safari takes you back to the hotel, concluding a day of adventure and authentic cultural experiences.
